Adult Fast Track to Graduation

The FVHS Fast Track Program (Age 18+ Adults Only) is offered online and provides a streamlined yet comprehensive program in full compliance with all local, federal, and affiliate requirements. It features a blended exam and study guide that enables you to prepare for and pass the required exams based on your schedule (available online 365 days a year 24 hours a day). When ready, you can initiate a study or test section simply by selecting any of the five test categories. Take them in any order or re-take them if needed (however, each retest is an entirely different set of questions). When you have passed all five tests, completed electives assessment and passed a standard 5 paragraph essay, you are immediately eligible for high school graduation. If you are seeking an option to take the GED ® test online, then the FVHS Fast Track program is the closest thing you can find without going to drive to a GED ® testing center. Currently the GED ® test is only available from GED ® approved testing facilities and not online like this Fast Track program. If you are seeking the convenience of an general equivalency development program accessible from the convenience and safety of your home, then the FVHS Fast Track program is your answer.

The test study guides contain learning materials and questions/answers similar to those in the relevant test sections. The study guides help prepare you to complete each section of the test, but you must take the time to learn. When testing, you will receive a random set of questions (all multiple choice) from the required categories listed below. Just like the GED, most students are able to complete the entire program in about 8 hours. However here at FVHS, you can choose to take any test section at any time, take days or weeks in between to study, and begin testing whenever you like depending on your study time and current subject knowledge.

Is the Five Paragraph Essay Completed Online?

Yes, we provide an online study guide and essay editor for your use. You will be instructed by the system to select a topic that you find interesting. It can be about a dream, a goal, a job, a family member, an event, an experience, a book or anything that you feel you can demonstrate your basic writing ability. You MUST stay on the topic selected and display high school level writing abilities.  Warning: There is a reinstatement fee of $49 if our software detects you cheated and copied your essay from one of the online essay suppliers.

On the Essay Page you will be able to interactively enter (write/edit) your standard 5 paragraph essay.  You must write a proper 5 paragraph essay or you will fail the exam (don’t worry, we provide a clear and easy study guide to prepare you for the essay as well). Your grade is formulated based on a blended and normalized scale but does include a review of topic focus & readability, grammar, spelling, sentence structure, etc. This can take a little time so we recommend you brush up on your essay writing skills before you begin the essay portion of the exam. There are many fine essay prep programs available online. We recommend www.grammarly.com to assist you with essay development skill.

When Am I Finished?

Upon passing each of the test categories with a score of 60% or greater and submitting the essay you have written for review, you are "functionally" complete. Your test scores are available immediately for view after each section (and you can retake these until you feel you have reached a score that truly reflects your ability). Your essay will be reviewed within one (1) school day and any issues will be communicated to you immediately. Upon receiving a passing grade for your essay you will have completed all requirements for high school graduation and for awarding your graduation documents. Shipping of your certificates is by 2nd day USPS (regular US mail carrier).

IMPORTANT FVHS ADULT HIGH SCHOOL FAST TRACK PROGRAM INFORMATION: Franklin Virtual Schools Fast Track Program is in compliance with our accreditation agency, AdvancED, high school equivalency program guidelines. The FVS program results in the issuance of a completion package that is similar in appearance to our Traditional program documents. 

IMPORTANT GED INFORMATION: It is not possible to receive a GED ® or a Free GED online. A GED ® must be taken at a local testing center and can cost (when all added up) in excess of $100 to $500 so you should be cautious when working with a program promoting a "Free GED"! The FVHS Adult High School FAST TRACK Program is offered as a private school alternative to taking the GED test.
